Tie up at your own dock and follow a sandy path through tropical trees to the main house, located on the high point of this private island estate. Enjoy the crisp ocean breeze as you step onto the verandah to enjoy a spectacular view overlooking the reefs and the Atlantic Ocean.
Whether you like seclusion or exploring, you can “do” the Abaco chain from Channel Cay, which is located nine miles south of Marsh Harbour (25 minutes by your own boat or a rental boat). This 25-acre jewel lies on the border of the Pelican Cays National Land and Sea Park. Make the only footprints in the sand, as you stroll along the 200-meter crescent shaped, white sand beach in a sheltered cove facing the Sea of Abaco. The clear azure water is inviting and almost always swimming pool calm. Relax in the shade of the thatched cabana on the beach.
Lose yourself on the trails that encircle the island and climb the lookout towers on both ends of Channel Cay for 360-degree views of the Sea of Abaco and the Atlantic Ocean. Channel Cay’s main residence offers 2000 sq.ft. of living space with 800 sq.ft. of open and covered porch areas allowing awesome views of sunrises and sunsets. With four bedrooms this makes for an ideal getaway for families or couples traveling together. The master king bedroom with private bath and dressing room has large glass doors offering a post card view leading out to a covered porch area. The second guest bedroom offers twin beds and bath, this room can be converted into a king bed and has its own deck entrance with ocean views. The third bedroom (twin or king converted) has its own private bath and deck entrance overlooking the natural landscape. The fourth bedroom (double) with its own private bath is off the kitchen. The spacious dining area will comfortably seat eight guests and opens into a living room with fireplace. Each area offers great sea views from where ever you may be enjoying this private island paradise. Both rooms offer access to the open verandah.
A new fully equipped kitchen opens to the dining room. Other amenities include telephone with internet access, ceiling fans throughout, books, stereo/CD/tape player, VCR & DVD for watching movies (please bring your own), gas grill, two kayaks, sunfish sailboat, games, books, generator with 12V inverter to 110V, private dock with 3 ˝’ at low tide, and reverse osmosis water maker.
Families, friends, lovers… come and enjoy! Imagine… your own private kingdom in the sea. The dock will accommodate up to a 40’ boat (sorry no electric or water at dock). Your own boat or a rental boat will be needed for fishing, diving, exploring the Cays, and your trips to restaurants, shopping and etc.
